Ariana Smith
Ariana is an international policy and legal expert with nearly a decade of experience shaping multilateral disarmament, arms control, and non-proliferation policy. She has advised high-level representatives on complex negotiations, including within the Conference on Disarmament and the UN Group of Governmental Experts on the Prevention of an Arms Race in Outer Space. Her work focuses on advancing consensus, strengthening global governance, and navigating politically sensitive international security environments in furtherance of human-centered disarmament.
Previously, Ariana served as Executive Director of the Lawyers Committee on Nuclear Policy, leading organizational strategy and global advocacy efforts. She also co-founded the former Human Rights Pulse, which was a digital platform focused on human rights education and analysis. She holds a J.D. from CUNY School of Law and an M.A. in International Affairs from CUNY City College. She is based in Dublin, Ireland with her partner and their son.
