Experience the next UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva

A joint program with Geneva International Centre for Justice (GICJ), the Junior Diplomatic Fellowship is an advanced training program allowing participants of all ages to experience the 42nd Session of the UN Human Rights Council in September 2019.



  • Learn foundational skills regarding international diplomacy

  • Receive training on how to submit documents to the UN and lobby members states

  • Network with other NGOs and with UN delegates / career diplomats

  • Meet other junior diplomatic fellows

  • Learn directly from Just Atonement Inc.’s Executive Director, Inder Comar, on how to build an independent career in human rights

  • Applications due August 12! (extended from July 31st)

Week 1 (starts Sept 9)

Initial training; basics of diplomacy; attend human rights meetings in Geneva

Week 2 (starts Sept 16)

Draft written statements; training on UN treaty bodies; attend side events

Week 3 (starts Sept 23)

Training on international humanitarian law; training on oral statements to the UN
