Naji Haraj

With an educational background in law and diplomacy, Naji Haraj is well known expert in the field of international law and human rights. Since 2003, Mr. Haraj has dedicated the majority of his time and efforts toward combating human rights violations. He has placed a great emphasis on identifying common human rights goals and achieving cooperation among various NGOs especially within in the Arab region. He practices extensively before the UN Human Rights Council and other UN human rights mechanisms. In addition, Mr. Haraj has taught at the university level, lecturing on international law and international human rights law. He has also conducted many training courses on human rights since 2009, reaching a range of audiences from legal professionals and parliamentarians to university students, UN and NGO staff. Mr. Haraj is also the Executive Director of Geneva International Centre for Justice, a Geneva based non-profit, international non-governmental organisation.
