Submission to the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons (submitted June 2020)
In response to a Call for Input issued by the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons, JAI recommended that governments immediately commit to a global ceasefire in order to prepare for the mass displacement that will come from climate change.

Submission to the Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights related to a Just Transition (submitted June 2020)
In response to a Call for Input issued by the Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights related to a “just transition,” JAI recommended that governments (1) cease providing support and subsidies to fossil fuel companies, (2) encourage divestment of assets connected to fossil fuel corporations, and (3) impose legal obligations on Boards of Directors to take into account the impact of corporate conduct on the climate.

Universal Periodic Review — Iraq (submitted March 2019)
JAI’s submission on the Universal Periodic Review of the Republic of Iraq addressed crippling flaws in the Iraqi legal system and the failure to redress and provide accountability for the invasion and occupation of the United States of America in 2003.

Universal Periodic Review — July 2019 submissions
JAI submissions as to Armenia, Grenada, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Guyana, Kenya, Kiribati, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lesotho, Spain, Sweden and Turkey addressed the effects of climate change upon human rights in those countries.

Universal Periodic Review — United States of America (Oct 2019)
JAI’s submission regarding the United States of America highlighted continued and flagrant acts of aggression against other countries, the withering of democracy, exploitation in the health care and educational systems, racism and gender discrimination, and the willful disregard of the effects of climate change.
